Hello. I was hoping that fellow model C owners out there could answer a few questions about my oven.

First, the clips holding the thermostat in the back have dissolved, and all I have is two holes remaining. Do you have just clips there or are there insulating washers of some sort?

Second, the cover plate for the bottom damper is just a piece of metal. Same question, is it supposed to have insulation of some kind? Doesn't appear to in the manual, but just wondered.

Thanks, Gwen

Gwen,

Get in touch with "toac" the old appliance club.
They will be able to answer all your questions. Also Huge's Place is very knowledgeable. Their web site is www.hugesplace.com.

Hi Lorikeets!

The parts you need can be found at any of several of the places listed here:

Parts & Service Page

Check particularly with Brian Batchley @ the Antique Stove Shop in Ventura, California. The Tulsa Stove Hospital is also a good source.

Regarding the damper - I've never seen one with insulation on them. I don't think they ever did.

Do you have the cookbook?
